About Professional Practice

Professional practice is a vital aspect that I apply at every job I have worked in the past. The ability of a profession to be utilised at a workplace by your self is effective in terms of working at maximum performance whilst being efficient. For example, at McDonald I had to clean as a go and that created a faster and safer work environment for everyone.In addition, university has assisted in enhancing my view on professional practice while enabled me to apply it at work. I believe that maintaining professionalism is one key aspect in success in life and for that reason i have tried to apply this practice at work.

About interprofessionalism

From my view, interprofessionalism is another vital aspect in relation to work because of the combination of strengths to achieve a certain goal. interprofessionalism consists of more than one individual from different professions working together achieving a similar goal. For example, at university me and other students needed to combine different knowledge in relation to certain things which each person had. I believe interprofessionalism is vital in relation to the profession sector because multiple people of different professions working towards a similar goal can effectively and efficiently succeed.

About Ethical Practice

I believe by performing and making ethical decisions typically at work highlights an individuals moral rights. From my understanding ethical practice is what society and individuals think good values are. For example at McDonald my job performance was always the same at every shift because they were paying me the same wage so why decrease in performance when they are paying you the same for your good performance. I believe this ethical choice is morally right towards the business. Ethical practice is good for the business sector because it inflicts trust and confidence towards staff and the consumers in general.

Generic Skills and Specialised Skills

Throughout my previous jobs and the progression of my university degree I have acquired numerous skills and abilities that has excelled me in achieving the things i do. For instance, i am strong in communicating with others and working in a team environment. I achieved these skills through working at McDonald. My speciality skills consists in technology such as using software and programs, building computers and general knowledge in coding and programming. I believe my skills and abilities will be effective and efficient at my next workplace.

Community funding application development and Applied debating

I believe i am more than capable of conducting a needs analysis for a particular group. I see myself capable of achieving specific needs such as community desires through skills acquired such as organising and managing from my university experience. I am also capable of identifying certain projects and developments through my construction and white card course which i have successfully completed. Part of year 12 units i have successfully completed a business unit which enabled me to find certain funding bodies to support certain projects related to my fields and in addition, knowledge in funding bodies and how to take advantage from.

Community Funding Application Development

Through my university degree and the jobs that I have worked in the past, I can effectively extract specific community needs. For example, the unit working with communities has enabled me to highlight the requirements for a specific community. For example, a community populated from a certain background may be more interpreters working at government agency’s. Secondly, I see myself able to create particular projects in order to achieve a goal for a community. University has allowed me to identify certain funding bodies and information to fund particular projects. After constructing our project of employment services for post prisoners, I am more than able to acknowledge specific funding requirements. For example, one of the requirements by the department of education was to implement all benefits to clients that are pensioners or if they are of a specific background.

Applied debating: Developing position papers

Throughout my learning experience at university, especially the unit ‘Contemporary Social Issues and Professional Practice, I see myself able to construct a decent position paper in relation to a topic, and as an example for an applied debate topic. The teachers that have guided me along the way have explained and demonstrated the steps in order to successfully complete a position paper, hence my comfort in achieving this task. An example of this is at university is the group tasks we had to study for, the requirements was to discuss strong terms to beat the opposition team in a debate-like context.
